Life as a journey
14th May marks another year in my life, and as I, Nwokocha Osinachi, an indigene of Eberi in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria, celebrate my birthday, my heart is filled with gratitude to God Almighty for the gift of life, family, growth, and the journey so far. Life itself is a mystery that no man can fully understand. Every birthday reminds us not only of the years we have gained, but also of the years gradually slipping away. Each passing day is a privilege, yet every passing birthday equally draws humanity closer to the inevitable reality called death. This truth leaves me in deep reflection and sober thoughts, knowing fully well that life is temporary and that man is like a traveler passing through a strange land. Looking at the realities of life today, one begins to understand how empty worldly pursuits can become.
